Purpose
The purpose of this project was to create a piece that can be submitted to an Applied Arts Student Awards category. A brief was developed, as well as all corresponding deliverables for the selected category. For this assignment, a print magazine titled “D Zine” was created for the DS / 05 Editorial category.

The overall aesthetic for the magazine is a combination of mid century modern and mixed media. The title of the magazine, “D Zine” is a play on the words “design” and “zine”, which encapsulates the essence of the publication.
The magazine consists of 26 pages and features six articles. The articles cover topics related to trends, courses, typography, AI, accessibility, and burnout. These articles were selected as they provide helpful information and inspiration to design students or junior designers.
